I got an alert for the protection score and i clicked on it. Then i looked at the report..quick glance and went back home , clicking home key. The alert flipped from a 1 to zero but then back to 1. And the Protection Report alert was still there. i did this a few times and even went in and scrolled then clicked other things, and the alert stayed there. Then i closed the app and then back in and it was gone. So that is the solution for now. Another annoying kind of issue, but not a big deal i guess.emphasised text
I had the same problem for about 3 months but now those protection report alerts have gone away.
If I use the online portal I can see that protection report for my 4 devices is incorrect and many times does not exist for a particular device.
My feelings are that Norton should retire that report permanently. I also see the protection score as somewhat more a marketing tool as opposed to anything else.
Opening the alert then the report windows appears, I get “counting your score points”, then, “its taking a bit longer”. Eventually, “we couldn’t update your score appears”. The alert notice in the UI does NOT disappear. Huge waste of resources within the Norton suite.
