Alert says: Network traffic matching signature of a known attack?

I just joined up so hi to all :smileyhappy:  Can anyone tell me how to find out where something is coming from and if the following is bad? My computer makes 'close program' sound when no program has been shutdown, the net stops responding and shuts down(I thought this could be signal/area related?) ect....I picked up a med risk intrusion, details: risk:portscan- attacking comp:address(was just numbers)- Destination: My comps address- Source address: (same as attacking comp address minus last two numbers,53)- Traffic description: UDP, Port 53   and what is port 53?? Alert also said "network traffic from (address) matches signature of a known attack!

Its not a trojan is it??   :robotsad:                     (I checked a few descriptions of viruses, some seemed to contain some of the above content..?)

Pls help..

Please download MalwareBytes’ AntiMalware from this LINK . Choose the free version as this does not have a real time scanner that will interfere with Norton products. Install the program and update the definitions.

Boot into Safe Mode:
Start your system and tap the F8 key until the Advanced Options Menu appears. Using the arrow keys, select Safe Mode (no networking or command prompt) and press ENTER.

Once Safe Mode is loaded, run a full scan with MBAM. Have the program fix / delete whatever it finds and make a log file. Please post the log file contents back here for review.

ok,I go check it out thanks
