All my auto-logins are being auto-removed -- please help?

I've never used Norton before so am not sure quite how to remedy problem on my own and don't want to play around with settings without advice.

I am the only one using my laptop so have logins for things like on-line banking, e-mail etc. that are set to 'please remember me' so that I don't have to re-type my information in every time I visit. Since installing Norton though, every time I navigate away from the page all my login information is erased and has to be input again and again and again ...

I suspect it might be due to some setting within Norton but not sure which one. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Hi,

Can you just tell me what version of NIS you are using? You can get the version number from Main UI->Support->About

In what browser did you save the logins before installing Norton?

Have you configuered any Identity Safe profile which comes with the Norton Product?

regards,

Prasanna.

Thanks for your help.

I am using Norton AntiVirus with Antispyware 2011 on Explorer Browser. Norton was installed by the tech's before getting my computer back from repairs so don't know what they did/didn't configure but I haven't done any configuring on my own.

Hi,

NAV do not clear your logins from browsers.

Might be your cookies & datas have been resetted by the tech person while on the process of repairing it.

Any hard disk formatting or major changes done with your system?

Regards,

Prasanna.

Not sure if any disk re-formatting was done -- but  the computer was in for a warrenty recall and required the motherboard to be rebuilt and new hard-drive. I am not a computer person so don't know exactly what that means other than that I can access WIFI, get my e-mail, do my banking on-line and play solitaire without problem now.

I:smileysurprised: t might the issue because of the disk & mother board changes only and not because of our product.

Also, we also have our product called Norton Internet Security 2012, which allows you to save your logins, card details all in one place and you can securely use them on your login & form pages.

Since you told that you are not techie kind of person just wanted to share this info and this product would help you in saving your logins online and you need not enter each time from your keyboard. Apart from this it does many other functions too. Hope this information would be useful to you. :smileyhappy:

Prasanna.

Hi farmgirl92,

This is almost certainly a cookie issue - either your settings do not allow cookies, or they are deleting them at the end of your session.  Open IE, click Tools > Internet Options > Privacy tab.  The slider should be set to medium - press the default key if it isn't.

If the problem is happening to sites that are listed in your Favorites, click Safety > Delete Browsing History....  Make sure there is a checkmark next to Preserve Favorites Website Data.
