All of a sudden I've been getting warnings from Norton that I'm connected to an unsecured network

Desktop PC with both Ethernet and wireless adapters.  It's always been connected by an Ethernet cable to a Xfinity router that's been in place for a couple of years.

Just a few days ago I began getting a Norton warning of "You are connected to an unsecured wireless network."  But if I go to Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Network Connections the Wi-Fi adapter clearly states "Not connected."  Clicking on the Norton warning itself reveals that the unsecured network is "xfinitywifi", a public hot spot that's built into the router, and has been ever since the router was installed.

It seems like either the Norton warning is erroneous or the adapter is not showing that I'm connected via Wi-Fi when I really am.  I'm betting it's a Norton error, but I'm not sure.
