All of a sudden, my phone no. isn't in my acct. profile. WHY?

Note: Please do not post Personally Identifiable Information like email address, personal phone number, physical home address, product key etc.

Issue abstract: I got the dark web notice for my SSN yesterday [8.22.24]. While going thru my profile, the system said I had to add a phone no. It was already there, where did it go??

Detailed description: This acct. has existed for years. New phone added a year ago. AND it’s showing in certain fields, but in the main section, it is not.

Product & version number: Norton 360 with LifeLock Select, Ver. 22.24

OS details: Windows 10 Home 64-bit, Ver. 22H2, Build 19045.4780

What is the error message you are seeing? Yesterday [22nd], it said ‘something went wrong.’ Tonight, it said ‘your acct. is missing a valid phone number.’ But the problem is - I changed numbers last year, and it was entered. In fact, it’s showing for the 2FA, so what happened in the other field??

If you have any supporting screenshots, please add them: One screenshot attached; BUT it wouldn’t allow it.

Thank you,
Ms. JSB

fwiw ~ maybe changing the phone number for Norton account 2FA does not update/change the phone number listed with your Norton account profile nor the phone number listed with Dark Web Monitoring.
as I recall - the phone number with your Norton account profile is by default listed with Dark Web Monitoring.

Caveat: my Norton account has no personally identifiable information nor use 2FA.

Hi. The thing is, it was changed in 2023 plus it was showing as the 2FA no., which was correct. Nevertheless, as soon as I posted this, I cleaned the caches and rebooted. Then it showed normally. Today my Norton access is doing something else strange, so… I’ll deal with it. Thanks for your response. I’m seriously considering wiping the whole doggone drive and starting over. But it takes so long to rebuild the SW collection… Pray for me!

prayers to you and yours

fwiw ~ no notion whether “Under Maintenance” is related to your scenario?
