Hey there is this File that i'd like to let into my PC, but norton picks it up as a trojan and deletes it, but i trust this file and i want it to not delete, is there a way i can let it pass through norton and not delete, apart from Disabling the anti-virus for the time i use it?
If Auto Protect or regular scanning deletes the file you can add it to the exclusions for each process. Under Setting > AntiVirus > Scans and Risks > Scan Exclusions. Select ADD to add the file to each exclusion and try again.
If SONAR deletes the file, then to add this to SONAR's exclusions, you have to let SONAR delete / quarantine the file. When you go to quarantine to restore the file, check the ADD to Exclusions also. This is the only way to add an exclusion to SONAR scanning.
What deleted the file? What Process? Auto Protect? Is it shown as a High Risk threat? You will have to manually add this in as an exclusion. If this is a High Risk you have no choice in what Norton does; it deletes the file in question.
