My daughter purchases songs through the Amazon MP3 store. She is able to access the store and that activity registers properly in the activity log. However, when she tries to preview a song or purchase a song, Online Family is blocking the activity. I am able to directly correlate the behavior to Online Family by disabling the protection and verifying the blocking goes away.
This is similar to the issue listed about iTunes in a separate thread where the suggestion is to uncheck "Music and entertainment" and technology.
My twist on this is that although her visit to amazon is logged, the attempt to preview or purchase that is blocked is NOT logged. I cannot determine what is being blocked by viewing the log and therefore cannot add it to her whitelist. I would rather add this one site to her allow list rather than open up the entire categories of Music and entertainment and Technology.

Is there any evidence that after Norton Safety Minder affects mp3 downloads from Amazon? It seems to me since I installed the software we (my daughter and I) have had problems when downloading an mp3 song from Amazon: After clicking on the "Download" link, we click on teh SAVE button (like we've done for years now) and the mp3 file "seems" to be saved but it only takes a fraction of a second (a bad sign). When the download "completes", the song is not there.
Anybody having the same problem? This happens to bith my daughter's login (VISTA 32bit) with Norton Safety Monder active as well as my login (Norton Safety Minder NOT) monitoring the Account.
I tested it with Norton Safety Minder 1.1.5.15 and was able to download and listen to the music from Amazon without any problems. Please make sure you're on the latest version 1.1.5.15.
