Andriod App Autofill?

Does IdentifySafe autofill login info into Andriod Apps?  The thread below implies it does, but it doesn't seem to work. I have checked the App Autofill box in my Vault, and turned on IdentitySave Service in the Android Accessibility panel.

Any advice from the community?

@peterweb We are checking on this,Me or @Vijayakumar M will respond to this at the earliest.Thank you.

When I tap on the ID Safe icon in the Amazon app, the pop up asking if I want to have ID Safe fill in the login info. I tap on yes, and the prompt disappears and nothing else happens or pops up.

I tried changing the Amazon url to http instead of https and I get the same result. No logins filled.

@peterweb Sorry for the delayed response.

Can you please let us know whether you got any toast message like "No logins found".

If thats the message you have received means,we would try to fix in the upcoming release.

*For Quick fix  you can try the below steps

For amazon login,edit it and change the url from amazon.com -> http://amazon.com and save it.

Now open amazon and try IDSafe autofill,this time it should fill.

Please reply with the result,thanks so much for your patience.

After ensuring there is a login stored for Amazon.com and Amazon.ca I open the Amazon app. Then go to the sign in page. I tap the ID Safe icon and accept the offer to fill in the login information. Nothing gets entered, and I am not signed into the app.

@peterweb

Thanks so much for you reply.

Could you please elaborate the result.

@Vijayakumar M

I tried the steps in your last post and still nothing gets filled into the Amazon app.

@peterweb

Thanks so much for you reply.

1) Please accept my sincere apologies. Currently we are not supporting auto save logins from an app (Amazon, facebook, etc.). Auto-Save login is only for an integrated browser. In next release we will give some offer to save the login from an app.

2) Currently i will suggest you to follow the below steps

       2.1) Open the app and unlock the vault

       2.2) Click login section and click '+' (Add Login) icon

       2.3) In URL box, add "http//:amazon.com"

       2.4) Add your amazon login username ans password

       2.5) Save the login informations

       2.5) Now try the auto fill in amazon app and please reply the status with us.

@Vijayakumar M

Here is the flow I see

  • open the Amazon app
  • tap on Already a customer? Sign in
  • tap in the Email box, and the Norton icon shows
    • tapping on this icon offers to enter my credentials, but at this time I do not have saved credentials for the Amazon app. So when I tap yes, a pop up says No logins found.
  • I enter my Email and password manually and I am taken to the Amazon site within the Amazon app
  • there is no offer from ID Safe to save the new credentials.
    • Auto-Save logins is turned on in the ID Safe app
  • I log out of the Amazon app and repeat the process, but there is still no logins found as in the first try.

@peterweb

Could please give me some tips on whats happening in the amazon app's login page

1) Whether the Norton icon displayed on the login page of an amazon

2) If yes, Please click on it. Then you will get permission dialog window (With Yes/No buttons).

3) Please click yes, then reply the flow to us (Basically what will you get, after clicking the yes button)

Thanks so much for bringing this to us.

I've passed this information along to my Norton contacts about the Amazon app not working correctly. Hopefully there will be an update soon.

Seems to work with LinkedIn as well, but a bit flaky/unreliable.

Regardless, looks like this is solved.  Net - works with limited set of apps, and some quirky behavior.  Still, a good tool to use.

Thanks again for the help.

Works with the Wells Fargo app, so perhaps it is an Amazon app issue. Thanks for the help!

Have you tried another app? One of the others you mention. I just installed the Amazon app and cannot get it to work with ID Safe. There may be a problem with that specific site  app.

Amazon.

Will likely move to add other apps such as Wells Fargo, Facebook, Instagram, etc. if I can get my test case with Amazon working.

Thanks.

What app are you trying to use ID Safe with? Your first link lists the  apps that are currently supported. If your app is not on that list, I can ask my contacts if it can be added.
