Android 11 or earlier no longer supported

12-2-2025 Same thing just happened to me which is how I found my way to your post. Deleted 360 from a tablet with Android 9. Clicked the link from a newly purchased subscription, Play Store says not compatible. Smh! There should be some sort of warning.

Totally agree Renee. All products should be clearly labelled to warn purchasers which Versions 360 etc. are compatible with. If I hadn’t also got two other devices that were compatible with the product I would have asked for a refund. I uploaded free anti virus software to cover the one that wasn’t.

Hi, Brian. I am not requesting a refund for the same reason, using the 360 on two devices. What free virus protection are you using?

Hi Renee

I use AVG free although there are a number of alternatives e.g. Avast One Basic, Bitdefender, Avira Free Antivirus & Malwarebytes. They all come with strengths and weaknesses and AVG free, for example, now comes with irritating pop up advertising. Although to be fair I guess they have to cover costs somehow. I am no expert so maybe worth running a comparison search on line. I read one report suggesting that the free programmes don’t all offer the same level / depth of coverage, such as real time monitoring. But I only use AVG for my old mobile, which isn’t used for on line net browsing. I also never open texts from non trusted sources. So it works for me. Good luck. Brian.

Thank very much, Brian.

@Brian_H2

Nice analysis and reporting for others in the same position.

I am now using the AVG free AntiVirus app and the Hide Me VPN free app on my tablet which has Android 9.

Thanks again!

Glad I could help Renee. Providing they label their products clearly, boldy and accurately, Norton have the right to update system requirements for new sales. However, they should still provide support for older versions at least until existing licenses expire. There must be many users being caught out after temporarily needing to remove and then attempting to reload 360 on their older devices. All the best. Brian.
