As per a few months ago, and was fixed, my Norton top menu notification is disappearing on both my Samsung Tablet and Phone since the latest update, 14th Nov
Tablet S7, Android 12, Phone S23+ Android 13
It stays visible all day and night until the anti-malware scan, then it's removed
The notification comes back if I reboot or use the 'ongoing notifications' toggle off/then on

Error logs submitted via Tablet
........ and 1 hour after the above post, both devices ran a Norton anti-malware scan and both devices no longer displaying the tick in circle notification
I give in
I've been monitoring this and I think it's a Samsung issue
I got bored of constantly turning ongoing notifications off/on so I stopped doing it knowing that Norton was running in the background
After a few days the notification came back on the Tablet. This was after a series of Google related updates via the Play Store
This morning the notification has reappeared on my phone, all by itself, again after a series of Google updates overnight
X files stuff
Working on a Nokia T20 tablet with Android 13.
Was so unreliable on 2 phones and a Samsung tab - all 3 with Android 12 so I uninstalled it last summer.
I am not seeing this on my Android 9 tablet.
@Nobody but me @C Harmon @OzBoy1 You also saw the issue with Android notifications not working correctly in the thread from March 2023. Can you check and report here whether you are seeing this issue again.
I'm surprised no one else has noticed and posted !
It's been over a week and every morning, after the overnight scan, there is no top line Norton tick in circle notification
Turn 'Ongoing Notification' off then on and it stays there all day but overnight ......
Norton is working though as clicking any program in the recently updated list in the Play Store and the bottom Norton popup appears, starts with yellow Norton, then turns to green 'Safe'
I'm not certain about the items noted in your Notification History. Those may refer to notifications that you see when you pull down from the top of the screen. It may not be connected to the Ongoing Notification icon at the top of the screen.
Thanks
After a reboot it does come back so that fix still works from March
I have both my devices set to auto update and both are on 5.74.0.231114006, just performed a manual Play Store check and no newer Norton offered.
Still doing it daily
One thing I have noticed is in Android notifications the malware scan is failing to display the icon whereas the top entry in the screenshot worked OK, related ?

For the record, here is the older thread on this issue. https://community.norton.com/en/forums/android-ongoing-notifications-keeps-disappearing .
What version of Norton 360 do you have on your devices? I have just updated to version 5.75.0.231120005 on my Samsung Tab A on Android 9 and will test. I restarted my device and the notification that was there before the restart was still there.
As last time, I will escalate this thread.
