I know this isn’t in the realm of security, but I’ve searched and came up with zip. Probably because I don’t know enough to look in the right place, but I do know enough not to do something really stupid … most of the time. lol That’s why I came to you guys/gals:
I’m chained to a Google Android (branded by Alcatel and TracPhone) for now, specifically a KitKat 4.4.2 that is (I prusume) not rooted. This is the only machine I can use right now and I have to be very careful. I purchased a 64 GB SD Card as factory RAM 2 GB (SD0) was running low. It appeared to mount OK, but I guess that a unrooted (is that a word?) Droid does not play well with external memory. Practically all my data is in the form of Aps. and I can’t get the OS to recognize SD1 for installs, etc. I have manually moved some downloads, recordings, etc. to the external SD card (SD1), but it’s just not enough.
If you can help, what additional info. do I need to post here for an accurate assessment? Any help or direction is greatly appreciated. I’m willing to learn … or at least try. I should have access to my desktop soon as I realize that it will be needed too. Thanks. - Art

If you don't get the help you need here on the Android I suggest you try (memory days!) CompuServe!
They still exist although small on the technical side and Gadgets & Gear Community has a number of very experienced users of Android devices who are all helpful.
- Android/Linux/Windows OS is not very active and since it is a specific gadget I'd suggest
- Phones/Tablets & PDAs (All OS) would probably be better.
You can read without signing in but have to sign in to post. A simple AIM log in will do.
You can risk mentioning my name <g>
Hope that helps. I only have one Android device, a semi-smart phone and I've been careful to avoid adding any others!
