Annoying Green Ticks

Can someone please help me to permanently remove the annoying green ticks from my photographs ! I have done it previously but they're BACK and I can't find the 'howto' any more and my next move will be to uninstall Norton and cancel my subscription ! Thanks

I don't get any Backup Status indicators 'choice' from the Norton 360 Settings page - the only option is a choice of Launch views.

By default, Norton Backup settings are turned on and the following features are on:

 • Backup Status Overlay:: Inserts an icon on files.

Protected - Green icon next to the file indicates that the file has been backed up

Unprotected - Blue icon next to the file indicates that the file has been modified after it has been backed up

Excluded - Gray icon next to the file indicates that the files has been excluded from its backup set

Norton Backup Drive:: Lets you view the list of backup destinations.

Context Menu:: Lets you use the right-click shortcut menu to add or delete files from backup sets.

Property Page:: Adds Norton Backup details to the File Properties page of backed up files

If you don’t need the backup indicators feature you can turn it off by clicking Settings in the Norton 360 main window, disabling the Backup Status Overlays check box and clicking Close
