Just a mention of an incident that could affect any keen gamers out there ! It seems that there is a fake "Electronic Arts " Madden NFL 2012 game that is carrying a little extra unwanted payload ! ....and it has been injecting an exploit in the form of the "Foncy Trojan " !
News has been posted on Sophos sites with reference to two French hackers who have been caught regarding this scam !
The Trojan hooked into a vulnerability in order to root users' mobiles', thus sending SMS messages and stealthily joining an IRC channel to receive further commands from remote hackers.!
It seems that we are going to be seeing more of these reports as the Android wave continues to gain momentum .
All the more reason to maintain reliable protection via Norton products...and most importantly ...be careful where you "click"...and if something you are considering as a download seems too good to be true ...then treat it with a measure of respect as it might just "bite "
