I recently tried to download the latest version (5.3.1) of Better File Rename. I know there were problems with an old version conflicting after NAV updated its system, but I saw in a post on 3-27-09 that someone was able to successfully upgrade to the new software with no problems.
But when I went to download the updated version, NAV gave the message: "SONAR detected security risk bfr_5.3.1_setup.exe" and ranked it as a high risk.
After reviewing other posts, I'm curious if this is just another false positive. I have already submitted this inquiry to the Symantec Security Response, but I'm posting here just to track it in case other folks get the same issue (I've found this site very helpful in my search queries).
FYI, the pre-human automated response to my query was as follows:
"Developer notes: BFR.zip is a container file of type ZIP bfr_5.3.1_setup.exe Our automation was unable to identify any malicious content in this submission. The file will be stored for further human analysis."
