Antenna from Coxial Cable

Hi Everyone! I need help of you guys. Can you please tell me how can I create TV Antenna from Coxial Cable. Need complete guide. I watched few videos but they didn't solved my problem. Need complete guide.

As JJ says.

My neighbor has gone to Over-the-Air instead of Cable and says the $250 he paid a local, Craig's list recommended, installer of antennae was well worth it since he did the mast installation, supplied and fine tuned the direction the antenna pointed to get the best reception with the maximum number of stations. Something that requires the knowledge based on local experience. He also took the risk of falling off the roof!

I'm still on Spectrum Cable since OTA does not get some channels I have to have but when he told me I did some Googling when led me to YouTube which amazed me by the amount of technical data and the quality of content of videos on just such topics. Try a direct search on YouTube on tv antennas for tv and have a look at the first listed

I suggest this one not because I have any knowledge of the experience/reliability of  Antenna Man but because what he says about distance is correct for all practical purposes.

Leave out the first "tv" in your search words for a more general listing on the topic.

I feel justified in saying this since I served 3 years during WW-II as a technician the the 563rd Signals Company -- Repair Detachment ! I long time ago!

IMHO, unless you're sitting within just a couple of miles of the broadcasting stations you're trying to receive, you'd be better off buying a ready to use antenna from a box store.  If you're more than 10-15 miles, you might also consider one with an signal filter/amplifier.
