Norton has always been quite good at identifying Spam email and places it mostly in the Junk Mail folder in Windows Live Mail.
I have a query that is not directly related to the spam email I have recently started receiving.
One of my email accounts has started to receive around 30 spam emails per day. 90% of them are recognized as spam, so no great problem and i have the common sense to know the others that end up in my Inbox and deal with them as appropriate.
My query regards the subject in 50% of the spam I'm receiving has a number after the alpha description. This number consists of nine digits and is exactly the same one on the emails with a number after the subject.
I have checked that the source of these emails are all from different senders and I'm perplexed as to how this number is appearing on the subject line.
I've never seen such behaviour in any previous emails over many years.
Any help appreciated.
