Hi Gena,

Let's try this.

1) Open Outlook.
2) By the top you can see the option " Tools ".
3) Click on Tools and select the option " Trust Center ".
4) It will open the Trust Center window and by the left hand pane you can see the option " Add-In".
5) Select Add-In and under Add-In window you can see the list of Disabled Applications Add-in.
6) If Norton Add-In is listed, by the bottom side you can see an option " Go ".
7) Make sure that " Com Add-In " is selected before clicking on GO.
8) There Check the Norton Add-ins and click on Okay.

Let me know the result.

Hi,Sym_KeN

In Outlook Express there is no option Trust center.Option only exists in Microsoft Outlook Express 2003-2010

To fix this,we need to first disable and then re enable the antispam client integration .

To do this, please follow the below mentioned steps :

1) Close outlook express if its opened

2) Start Norton Internet Security and go to the settings of antispam and click on client integration

3) Uncheck the four options showing up

4) Restart the computer

5) Go to the antispam settings again and check the 4 options now

6) Restart the computer

7) Open Outlook express and you should be getting a popup asking if you want to add it as a spam folder

That should normally enable the outlook express for you.

let me know if that worked.

Friends. Who can that help me?

Hi gena,

Do you leave Outlook Express running all the time and notice that the plugin disables itself, or do you only open Outlook Express when you're using it and notice that the plugin is missing when the program opens?

~Alex~

Hi Alex When I open Outlook Express, you can see that the plugin disappeared

Hi gena

fwiw > Symantec is aware of this issue

Hi Alex_W,aalim and  Sym_KeN

Since you are aware of this problem, can this be added to the list of known issues here?

Thanks
gena

Hi gena,

Try contacting Tony Weiss about this since he's the one who made the thread about the known issues.

I'm still a relatively new employee so I'm not set up to check if the issue has been officially logged yet.

When ever the Anti Spam toolbar disappears from Outlook express you need to open your Norton internet security 2012

go to settings

go to Network

click on Message protection

turn off the Norton Anti spam

apply the settings

restart the computer.

After restarting the computer go to Norton internet security and enable the options again

then open the Outlook Express you would be able to see the Norton anti spam toolbar

This same Norton Symantec software bug is being observed here.  It is quite bothersome.

Norton Symantec:

1.  Do you have an anticipated date for the resolution of this Norton Internet Security 2012 problem?

2.  Will the fix/patch be delivered automatically via the Norton malware definition updates?
