Well...I did all the log stuff and sent to Symantec...Been 4 weeks ago.no answer!
I had the same problem and determined that my registry cleaning software PC tools Registry Mechanic has a section called privacy and it will clear 3rd party software & plug ins like the norton anti spam tool bar in Outlook Express. You can turn off the plug in removal feature. I did this and now I don't loose the Antispam plug in Outlook Express with NIS 2012.
Hope this helps.
Hi. Can you please explain where you found the PC Tools registry Mechanic and how you turned it off. I found what I think is PC Tools but I don’t see Registry Mechanic. I have tried restarting everything but the Norton anti spam folder still disappears.
I am fed up with this BS - this is definitely a Norton problem - my Anti Spam toolbar disappears with every update. Come on guys, get in the game!
Hi everyone,
Please can you stop posting your complaints about this issue here, I started a post about this very topic a few weeks ago and this new post just confuses the issue! There's already half a dozen other dead posts which Norton have given up on, we don't need any more.
Any Norton staff who have been advising here, please note that we have all tried the 'Client Integration' fix and it DOESN'T WORK.., PLEASE STOP TELLING PEOPLE TO DO THIS!!!
Anyone wishing to add their own feedback to this issue please do so here:
Thanks folks
