The steps are almost same for Norton 360 Version 5.0 and Version 6.0, so it won't be much difficult for you.

To see what service pack you are running, hold the Windows key and press the Pause key at the same time. This will bring up a display showing your Windows version.

If you are using a Standard Windows user account, try logging into Windows with your Admin account. Most Norton settings require you are a Windows admin. Run as Admin does not work.
