I have just tried to rerinstall my AV 2004 after a system failure, AV 2004 fails to activate, and so live update does not work.
Called support, it is no longer supported, even though you can still purchase new product from Amazon, that aside, I have licence untill Aug 2010 but Its no good installing if no updates.
I would up grade but am using Win2K Pro for various reasons.and the latest version is not suitable I understand.
My main problem is the failure to acivate and therefore no updates.
My family all use Norton Products on my recommendation.
I am annoyed about this as Norton were quite happy to take the Fee, but nobody said no support, never had any need till now, as far as I can determine the product has been quite good and think it has been effective.
Can anyone advise how to activate and get the live update to run. Was on line when installing, live update failed reinstalled but no luck, this was the third attempt to reristall.
Please can anyone advise. Please dont say upgrade, because I simply cannot afford it or justify the expenditure to the managment.
