AntiMalwareMigrationTask Wakes Computer Indefinitely Every 30 Minutes - Unable to Delete/Disable

Lately I've been having an issue where a scheduled Norton task (AntiMalewareMigrationTask) runs every 30 minutes on my computer. I believe the issue arose after I upgraded to Windows 10, though in the end I reverted to Windows 8.1. If my computer happens to be asleep, it wakes it up; if it's not, it will allow my computer to fall asleep, and then it will wake it up again just to run the task. I can delete the task, but upon a restart, Norton creates the task again (in the case of deletion); I can also disable the task, but upon restart, Norton enables it without user interaction. If I disable or delete the task, and simply place my computer in sleep mode, the issue remains absent -- but I do have to restart from time to time.

Things I've tried:

1) I've already fully uninstalled Norton and reinstalled it manually. The issue remained the same.

2) I've run NortonRemediationRemoval, which then recommends I run Norton Remove and Reinstall (NRnR), but the issue returns upon a restart. The NRR does do its job, but the task just comes back.

3) Deleting the task manually and running NRnR.

I was also having this issue on separate computer. I managed to fix the issue simply by deleting or disabling the task. It's an upgraded Windows 10 PC (from Win 8.1).

Specs:

-Runnings Windows 8.1 x64 and Norton 360

-Unsure what else matters

My subscription renewal is up in less than 2 weeks, but I'm not sure I plan to renew if I can't resolve this issue. It really is driving me crazy. I do plan to eventually upgrade, from scratch, to Windows 10; but I'd like a temporary fix in the meantime. I don't believe I'm the only user with this issue, but the fix that seems to be working for most users is not working for me.
