In NIS 2010, under Network Security Map, Details,Antiphishing Statistics,
reads the following
Fraudulent Sites Protected Against 11, Sites Authenticated 1304
I know what the sites Authenticated means, also I know that the green checkmark symbol in the norton toolbar changes to a green shield when a site is authenticated.
My questions are,
Does anybody know where in NIS 2010 I can find a log of which antiphishing sites my computer was protected against?
What happens when a fraudulent phishing site is blocked?
Does a Norton pop up show on my computer screen?
Does the Norton green checkmark in the toolbar turn to red?
The reason I am asking is because I have not received any messages or warnings from Norton about antiphishing sites blocked, while I am on the net.
however, there are 4 other user accounts (family) on our computer. So it could have happened while any of them were online, but internet history from those accounts doesn't show anything odd?
Also, is there aTEST website to go to that would trigger a Fraudulent phishing site block on my NIS 2010? so I can see what happens?
Thanks, Kevin
I would like to add that not all Versions have the Full-Page Block on Un-Safe Web Sites, so it is good to see that symantec are changing this in 2011 Products. With regard to not all Versions of the N.I.S. Product Blocking Un-Safe Web Sites, in the Monthly Report, this could be read as mis-leading since Un-Safe Web Sites are not actully Blocked.
