Should there be a Norton AntiSpam folder in Windows 7 Live Mail? I don't see one. I jumped directly from Windows XP SP3 with Outlook Express directly to Windows 7 and Windows Live Mail. Not familiar with the new settings yet. Outlook Express had the AntiSpam folder, Windows Live Mail doesn't. Is this a problem?
Thanks!
HarleyFrank
Hi HarleyFrank,
Norton AntiSpam will be available for Microsoft Outlook® 2002 or later, Microsoft Outlook Express 6.0 or later,Windows Mail (spam filtering only). Windows Live Mail is not supported by Norton Anti spam yet. You can use the websites mentioned below to check the system requirements.
Norton 360 : http://buy.norton.com/estore/mf/productDetails/productSkuCode/21204007/slotNo/-1/
Norton Internet Security : http://buy.norton.com/estore/mf/productDetails/productSkuCode/21171898/slotNo/-1/
Please let us know if you have any issues.
Hi HarleyFrank,
Even though Windows Live Mail is not supported for client integration, Norton AntiSpam still filters your messages before they reach your inbox, and will append [Norton AntiSpam] to the subject line of suspected spam. To prevent such messages from going to your inbox you can create a message rule in Windows Live Mail to place all messages with that tag into the Junk Folder, or even into a Norton AntiSpam Folder that you create yourself. You don't really lose much of the functionality of Norton AntiSpam with an unsupported client, but you do have to set up some of the message handling rules manually rather than having Norton create them automatically.
