Hello,
I noticed this problem using Norton AntiSpam both in NIS 2008 and NIS 2009 with Outlook Express (It is possible that this occurs with other mail clients):
Every time I press the delete key, whether deleting a message, or deleting characters and text while editing a message, a “short” delay (not 30 seconds, but definitely more than one second) occurs. It really poses a problem trying to write e-mails, having to wait every time I delete something.
I think I know what might be the cause, but there is nothing I can do about it: Norton AntiSpam was probably programmed to track the deletion of messages from the AntiSpam folder, except that instead of monitoring just that specific action, it monitors every press of the delete key, regardless of the specific action it performs when pressed.
I know my computer hardware is in need of a desperate upgrade, but it is well over the NIS system requirements, though I suppose it’s possible that people who have faster PCs may not even notice any delay.
Did anyone else encounter this problem? Possibly with other mail clients?
Also, if the forum administrators can relate to this issue, possibly forwarding it to those who are in charge of handling this type of problems, that would be great.
It seems the tech support available through chat and e-mail, for some bizarre reason doesn’t handle this type of issues, at least according to topics list they require customers to select from.
StaySafe.
