Hi - I'm on Windows Vista and had the Norton AntiVirus 2010 on my machine when it expired. Purchased the AntiVirus 2011 Disk - not installing from the Web. I didn't think that I would have to uninstall 2010 when upgrading the same product. So I didn't.
When trying to install the 2011 > couldn't get past the 'initializing' phase. It would just 'hang'. But I went to the Norton site and (using my PRODUCT KEY) was able to Activate the product. I get notices from Norton regarding, cookies, etc., but I also am getting emails indicating that my Norton product as expired. So - I tried to install again and this time I get the 'Which 2011 Uninstall do you prefer?" and Why are you leaving us - you have 364 days left ....etc.
How can I tell if Norton was fully installed? Do I have to uninstall the 2011 on my machine and buy a new one? I've already ACTIVATED the PRODUCT KEY for this disk.
Help appreciated. Thank you
