I use a program called Unlocker 1.8.8 to unlock a USB drive if I get a message that it can not be ejected because a process has it locked. This typically happens when I open a file (e.g.- a .doc file) from the USB drive and then close the file. Even if I close Word totally for some reason the USB drive is still "locked."
The program is from: http://www.filehippo.com/download_unlocker/
It has worked on my machine for over a year and AVG, McAfee, nor Malwarebytes says this program is a problem. Why does Symantec and how to I override this so I can install it?
Thanks for any help.

No clue- it does not say- all I know is that upon inserting the thumb drive with the program, Symantec immediately pops up and says it is a virus.
How would I tell which program is doing it?
thanks
steve
Well when you see the popup again, can you write down everything that it says please.
When you go to quarantine is the file there and if so what is said about it.
When you go to main windows and under COmputer you will see links for history and quarantine. If you go to history you can select to show recent history , full history. What was said in history at the time it was flagged as a virus?
OK- attached are the screen shots of what shows up. I have submitted the program to Symantec Security Response Team for review. I have tried to restore and not recognize but it still recognizes it anyway and removes it again.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
steve
