My credit card was charged $125.91 by Norton on December 30, 2020. I contacted Norton on January 20 to inquire about the charge. A customer service rep, Reuben, told me that they didn't charge it and then no other offer to help. I wanted to provide him the proof that the charge went through and he told me he couldn't look at it because of privacy issues. REALLY? If I give him permission to look at my statement, then how is that invading my privacy? After I kept asking what else I could do to find out about it, he told me a supervisor would contact me within 48 hours. No one contacted me. Today, January 27, I called back and talked with Sidra. Although she seemed to help, she basically told me that I had probably been hacked. When I asked why Norton didn't feel they were responsible when I pay them to protect my information, there was no answer. She told me that a supervisor will contact me within 48-72 hours. I have disputed the charge through the bank but I shouldn't have to do that. I am very frustrated with Norton after using their service on multiple computers in my office and on my personal computer for a number of years.
Before you leave, please update us when your credit card company gets back to you to tell you who made that charge. It would put our minds to rest after having tried to offer you some help.
No, my card had not expired. However, I have deleted it as I am not going to continue with the account (not because of this situation but because I don't need it anymore). No, they are not charging for my renewal early according to what their reps told me. I disputed the charge with the credit card co and will continue in that direction. Thank you for your comments but I'm finished with the discussion.

As bjm_ said, we do not work for Norton. We just volunteer our time to try to help users.
You did not answer my question about the expiry date shown in your Norton Account for the subscription that was expiring in February 2021?

The credit card company is checking into it now. It is not renewal. There were no other "unauthorized" charges to my credit card. Just Norton.
Of the 2 people who answered, do you work for Norton?
My view is that I paid Norton to keep that from happening.
You pay Norton to protect your devices from getting infected by malware and from external attacks from the internet. If the agent is 'suggesting' that you were hacked, someone has to have some proof of this before any blame can be laid.
Have you contacted the credit card company to verify who the payment was made to?
Have you checked your Norton Account and clicking on the user icon at the top right, click in My Subscriptions. Check the one you say expires in February 2021 and see that the expiry date listed there is. As bjm_ notes, if the renewal was due in early February, the December 30, date for a payment is within the 30 - 45 day window for the payment to be taken.
And your credit card reports other unauthorized transactions?
And you've cancelled this credit card?
And you've removed Norton account payment information?
So, if not Norton renewal.
Who does your credit card issuer say pulled $125.91 on December 30, 2020?
My view is that I paid Norton to keep that from happening.
To keep what from happening?
What does your credit card issuer say happened?

No, it wasn't the renewal for February 2021. The last salesperson told me I was hacked. My view is that I paid Norton to keep that from happening.

I wrote it wrong. It renewed in 2020.

Products renewed in February (and April 2019) would be due for renewal before February 2020 & before February 2021.

Yes, it's the same card. It was not time for renewal for either account (office or personal). They were able to tell me that those accounts were renewed in February and April 2019 which is when they were supposed to renew, but they said no other charge was listed.
Curious, is the credit card that was charged ....the same payment method listed with your Norton account.
