App lock shortcuts

It would be very useful if app lock could lock all kinds of procedural calls, like shortcuts. I have some auto-login shortcuts that I would like to secure: one is a link to outlook.com. I tried locking chrome, but that didn’t work.

Thanks for the link. I already posted a suggestion for core security control.

If you have not seen it yet, there is a thread for Core issues/experiences.  https://community.norton.com/en/forums/norton_core

See you there.

Yes, all good now on that front. However, I just spent several weeks, not elapsed time, setting up Norton Core, and will have a lot to say about that experience, and make a number of suggestions, when all the dust settles.

Glad you figured it out.

As you say, App Lock would not lock your shortcut and is cannot 'see' those. It should intercept Chrome when it is called by the shortcut. And as you say, it is working in this way.

Locking chrome does work.

Actually, locking chrome did work. I thought it hadn’t because app lock leaves things unlocked for a while. Using the lock on chrome is acceptable.

Locking chrome did not lock the shortcut, do it must be a lower level call. I will submit it as a suggestion. Thanks.

Then, at the moment, all you can lock would be the browser.

This might be a good suggestion for the Product Suggestions board https://community.norton.com/forums/product-suggestions

No. It's a shortcut to a website.

Maybe I need to lock chrome instead.

The App Lock app only locks applications known to Norton. If you are referring to an icon on your home pages to an app that is protected by App Lock, it should still call up app lock.

Can you mention the app you have linked to with this shortcut?
