Application Blocking - Tiff File

I ran into a series of application blocking (denied) log entries for inbound activity on a tiff file.  Is there any reason why a tiff file would be considered an application and be blocked?  The path to the tiff file was /Applications/DVD Player.app/Contents/Resources/Art/DashboardCheckBoxPressed.tiff.

The activity seemed to start when VMWare Fusion was started.  It followed a pop-message that a DVD driver was unable to be loaded.  There was no DVD activity being done anytime near the time of the blocks.  A copy of the log inspector is attached to this message.  FYI, no connection blocking event occurred at the time of the application blocks.

The previous application blocking log entry was 20 seconds earlier with the path /Applications/Adobe Photoshop Lightroom5.app/Contents/Frameworks/Library/lrModule/Contents/Info.lua.

Thanks.
