I am currently running Norton on an Acer Aspire e15 e-5-521-219j laptop with Windows 8.1 w/ Bing and 4GB of Ram. I have in the last 2 months or so been having a problem where Norton starts normally when I boot the laptop up, but then after a short time it shuts down. When checking the event viewer I find an error message indication that NIS.exe has had an application error due to NCW.dll. Has anyone seen this before, and if so have any idea of a fix? Below is a copy of the event viewer error report.
