Appreciate help in resolving drive problems after duplicating with ghost

Laptop running vista home premium. I used ghost 15 to copy my laptop drive to a new drive. The new drive was made “G” when I formatted it in a toaster.

I intended to change the drive from G to C prior to installing but forgot.

I swapped drives, and windows reports " user profile not loaded correctly". Can’t access disk management.

I went back to original drive, and it reports the same, and now the old drive has a “C” drive which is the recovery partition and what should be the C drive is the “G” drive.

I guess I should have made the new drive also a “C” before I copied the original drive.

At this point I just want to get my old drive running properly, but if I go to the command prompt I see I have a C and a G, when it should be a C and a D, the D being the recovery partition.

Any help to recover what I’ve done much appreciated.
