Are 2 year subscriptions prorated?

Due to the amount of difficulties that Norton has been unable to resolve, I want to cancel my 2 year subscription after 290 days and receive a prorated refund but telephone support tells me they cannot do it. Question: How can I cancel my subscription and get the prorated refund? So far telephone support has hung up on me 3 time when I request to talk with a supervisor.

I believe you have 60 days from when your subscription started to receive a refund. There are no pro rata refunds given so the subscription will run for the full 730 days.

@Glenn_White There are some FAQ’s regarding Norton policies for refunds and cancellations here for your review. No one here on the forums has access to customer accounts and their information as well.

You may cancel your subscription contract and request a refund, under the below terms. Upon cancellation, you must uninstall and delete all copies of the software from your device(s).
Annual subscriptions (one-year term or more):

  • Under our 60-day Money Back Guarantee, the purchase of an annual subscription is eligible for a full refund, if requested within 60-days of the date of purchase.
  • Each annual renewal is also eligible for a full refund, if requested within 60-days of being charged.
  • The purchase of a Norton Ultimate Help Desk 1-device or a Privacy Monitor Assistant annual subscription is eligible for a full refund, if requested within 60-days of the date of purchase, or in the case of an annual renewal, within 60-days of being charged, provided that in either case services have not yet been redeemed.

Why aren’t any of the replies I’ve made showing up (at least I am not seeing them)? They have been polite and on topic with information about what I’ve found about Norton prorating canceled subscriptions.

The other replies are indeed missing.

@Glenn_White Looking at your forums profile it appears you haven’t yet attained “basic user” trust level with the forums systems. That has flagged new users posts in the past when it shouldn’t. Just an FYI, those of us who are in Leader status, CANNOT, fully delete posts around the forums. Unless I am missing something someone please advise otherwise. We can tag threads, combine posts into a single thread to keep things neat and the continuity of the users issues correct. Only Norton employees and Admins have the ability to just delete a post. ALSO, I don’t see anything that would indicate that a Guru or Leader has tagged anything or made changes, had that been the case the posts would still be visible and not in moderation.

I do not see your profile listed as having basic trust level per this:
