I might have misread the recent edit to the product update announcement Norton Product Update 22.5 for Windows 10 Compatibility, but it appears to imply that all N360, NIS and NAV v20.x and v21.x users will be automatically updated to Norton Security v22.5.0.124.
"We are pleased to announce that a Windows 10 compatibility update is now available for Norton Products, updating the version to 22.5.0.124. The following products and versions will receive the Norton 22.5 update:
Norton Security v22
Norton Internet Security, Norton AntiVirus & Norton 360 v21
Norton Internet Security, Norton AntiVirus & Norton 360 v20
This update is available via LiveUpdate, and will be automatically downloaded and installed. If you wish to receive the update immediately, simply run LiveUpdate manually."
I am an iTunes user, and have no intention of upgrading to Norton Security until Norton has fixed the bug discussed in kenlyndon's thread Norton Security and iTunes. This bug prevents NS users from synching and/or ejecting their iPod. Norton has known about this bug since January 2015 and still hasn't released a patch.
I've disabled my Automatic LiveUpdates, but would someone from Symantec please clarify ASAP if I've interpreted this announcement incorrectly.
