This could go down in history as the worst application version update ever. It is slow, freezes and requests reactivation every time i put my laptop on. Are there any planned fixes or should i just cancel my subscription
Unfortunately, I can only agree with that!
Since the change - also in the forum - this software has just become a nuisance.
I have been a Norton user for over 25 years. So far, I’ve been happy. But now I’m seriously considering deleting this software.
Norton even regularly deletes passwords for apps from the Win10 store during a “cleaning process”!
That can’t be right!
All: Regarding fixes and adding back functionality to the new release. I’m sure that at some point this version will be prime time ready. As it it always is, Norton doesn’t give anyone, no even we Gurus their time frame for that. Nor what it may or may not correct or add back. That is unfortunate since Norton is bleeding customers hand over fist at this juncture. The best advice I can give is revert back to the previous version and remain on it until 24.xx is vetted. The headaches it presents isn’t worth it, I CAN personally attest to that because I had an epic mess when the forced update came with my account, with all my devices showing incorrect information. Some on this version of Norton others on another. I have one subscription not three or four lol. Reverting is your best choice from where I see things. If you need advice with doing that I can provide you with a small tutorial for doing it.

I have already commented on this specific problem elsewhere.
I find this development very sad!
Not just in this specific area of life…
Once excellent service. And then concentration, takeovers and drastic cost-cutting measures. And long-standing satisfied customers left out in the cold…
Best wishes

Same. Have used Norton for over 15 years. This latest release is horrific. Thunderbird would not function with it, plus I can no longer use the Norton VPN. Support remote accessed my PC for over an hour. Then gave up and told me someone would call within the hours. After 14 hours I am still waiting. If not fixed within the next week I will be removing Norton products and going to a competitor.
