AT LEAST Post how to UNINSTALL Norton Online Family

At least do us the common courtesy of posting how to unistall this program so that we can access the internet from the affected machines.  I've tried the following:

1)  Uninstall through windows and through the uninstall shortcut in the NOF folder, it freezes when I input my name/password.

2)  I've read where you should disconnect from the internet to uninstall.  So I turned off wireless, goto uninstall and I get a constant screen showing attempting to uninstall but just keeps going and going with no results.

Set us free.............

Okay, I found out how, I am running windows 7 Home Premium and I am now connected back to the internet as I got Norton Online Family removed from my machine:

1)  Shut off internet to your affected machine.

2)  Restart computer, before windows logo comes up press hold F8, windows will ask to boot into Safe Mode.  I went into Safe Mode without networking.

3)  Safe mode windows comes up, goto control panel.

4)  Select Programs and Featuires.  A lis of programs will come up, select Norton Family.

5)  Window Box comes up confirming Uninstall, click yes.....voila...it removes the program.

6)  Windows box comes up and says you must reboot.  Reboot as normal.  Turn internet back on.

Full internet connectivity is back.  Good riddance Norton Online Family you just lost a customer

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for this post!  I now have Norton Family removed from my laptop and my kids can get back to their online reading for school!

Hi armvojta,

I've sent you a private message.  Please check it when you get a chance.

Thank you.  This worked for me too.

KatieQ- Symantec employee....Can you please tell us if Norton Family is going to work again? I've been dealing with this all week with uninstall/install endless loop and not being able to monitor my children's activity. This is utterly destroying Norton reputation and any chances of recommendations of this product by customers. Just the lack of posts and communication from Norton is the biggest problem. If the problem is being worked on, then a Symantec employee should post on this board EVERYDAY to let us know the customers problems have been heard and are not being ignored. Get somebody from your PR/ADvert dept. to take a look at this disaster. PLEASE.

Hi,

I'm the product manager for Norton Family and sincerely apologize for our delay in responding to the questions posted here in the Norton Family forum.

We've recently posted an update, it's available here.

momteacher3: For the endless loop problem you're experiencing, is this happening while trying to install the latest version of Norton Family onto your children's Windows computers?  We will be sending you a private message to get more details and help you get back on track.
