After inserting a hard drive into my computer, i received the ‘blue screen of death’, aka the screen with the":(" emoticon on it. My computer then restarted and said that apparently the hard drive had malfunctioned.
However i had suspicions that a virus from the hard drive was responsible for this, since i was trying to transfer files from a previously infected computer.
I then went to check Norton Internet Security and found that the status was “At Risk”. I could not click Run Scans.
I restarted my computer and then the status returned to “You Are Protected” and i could finally run scans. Nothing malicious came up. I also ran a scan with MBAM. No results.
Should i be worried? What could have caused the status to change to “At Risk”?
