Hi Tony,
I have a idea, i dont know if all the community here are symantec tester, but i think we need a section or topic just for the tester. We can talk about our test and experiences, i mean ,i think the tester topic can really help someone have some difficulty???
Good idea???

Tony,
As always. thank you so much for the invitation.
It is highly appreciated.

I'm assuming that since these forums are called BETA forums that they are open only to Beta testers. Is this correct Tony? Are we allowed to comment on Beta programs?
Pierre
These forums are open to the public, but we are still testing them. This is why they are considered “BETA”. This is not a secure area for discussing confidential closed beta testing information. This is separate from the http://et.symantec.com Beta Testing Community. Please let me know if you have any other questions about this Forum. Thanks!
These forums are available to everyone, and I would not recommend discussing confidential information from the Beta Testing Community. Please feel free to share your testing processes in general - how you setup your systems for testing, any software you use for backup purposes, etc. But please refrain from discussing confidential information that is only intended for testers in the Symantec Beta Testing Community at http://et.symantec.com. Thanks!
Thanks for clearing that up Tony.
BTW, please keep the et newgroups, this is still my favorite communications method for tracking program progress.

Hello Tony and thanks for the invite.
Just to let you know, I almost did not get the invite as I have a Google Apps email account and it went straight to the spam folder, with the warning-
Warning: This message may not be from whom it claims to be. Beware of following any links in it or of providing the sender with any personal information. Learn more
After making sure it was a legit invite email, I signed up and the same thing happened with my signup verification email. You may want to have a chat with Google about this Phishing problem.
Cheers

I have the same problem with Gmail, not surprisingly, but any email from nortoncommunity@symantec.com as phishing, deactivates all the links, and then puts it in the spam folder.
Not only gmail caused this issue, Outlook's junk mail engine did the same with the mails. (Recognized as junk).

Hi Tony,
if you are still testing this forum please consider remarks made here

concerning the looks of this forum... (only the looks not the content... Idea for this forum is perfect)
Thanks for the invite Tony, much appreciated, it's always pleasure to help test out Symantec's products and services.
Even our et.symantec.com closed site has a nice new look. I only wish that the default view would be the "User forums"....
It would also be great if we could follow the format of this site complete with "emotions" and "spell check" and "preview" and HTML built in, and................(you get the picture)
Maybe we're Beta testing this forum to use on our secure site???????
Tony,
Many thanks for the invitation.
So far, I think these community fora are a great idea. They appear not only to encompass the general interested public and the testing community, but also an involved cross section of Symantec employees. I'm still learnig my way around this environment, but I suspect that if people are willing to invest some of their time here, this could prove very productive.
Best to all.

I use Outlook 2003 along with NIS 2008 and Tony's invite message go through just fine for me.
You are very welcome. Have fun on the forums!
