The threads regarding this have been closed, so I thought I would post it here. Just as a follow up to those who may run across this in the future. I had just uninstalled 2 games and the au_.exe showed up on my suspicious activity log. So this (at least in most cases) seems to happen when a program is removed. I this the high number of modifications may be do to removing all pieces of the game program. For what it’s worth.
