australian exchange rate??

Hi, i have norton internet security 2011 trial and when i go to purchase a subscription through the norton product, it directs me to

the U.S. site to purchase at a price of $49.99. i click the BUY NOW and try to fill in my details. In the countries dropdown menu on the left of the webpage Australia (where i live ) isnt listed as an option, (many other countries are listed). Ok ,so i then click the change country option at the top of the webpage, and change it to Australia. It the directs me to the Australian version (internet security 2011) for a price of $ 99.99 !!. Twice the price of the u.s. product ,even though the Aussie dollar is now above parity with the u.s. dollar.

Why so slow with the exchange rate update??. I refuse to pay this price and will most likely be moving to another product when this trial ends. I have been using Norton for many years, but can't help feeling a little ripped off. I have 2 other norton subscriptions and the last time i renewed them it was $79.99 ,so not only has the price increased by around 25% since then.

The exchange rate doesnt reflect the current situation in relation to the true exchange rate.

Can someone explain to me why this is the situation??
