What is the exact version you are running? And what was your previous security set up?

Norton Internet Security 2007 Subscription via download 11/07.  Pretty basic setup- firewall, spyware, etc.  Not a real computer nut so it was the recommended system “out of the box” from Norton.

Why don’t you try an upgrade to version 2008?

Because I have 180+ days on the current subscription that cost me $49?

Wondering if the issue is with the Vista service pack?  Maybe the interface between AT&T/Yahoo and Vista and Norton?

Than you are lucky.

Upgrade to 2008 is free. It could be something with SP1 . 2008 is most likely to adjust to SP1

h inetzel - the fix for that error is located in this document:

the free upgrade to 2008 Stu was mentioning is located here.

I’m glad upgrading solved the problem. Error 3035, 6 is an error loading the Auto-Protect driver. It is a pretty critical error usually indicating a corrupt install or corrupted virus definitions.

One last issue that has risen.  The Windows firewall keeps turning off and the warning pops up but the Norton Firewall is on.  I believe I had the Norton one on before.  I have an HP with Vista.  I have a wireless need for my PS3.

It’s better to keep windows firewall turned off. Otherwise conflicts are possible

Thats what I thought- but I keep getting a pop up reminding me it is turned off although it recognizes that Norton firewall is up and running.  I’ll check in the Security Center and see if there is a over-ride on the pop up warnings…

Ok

Just let me know
