Auto-protect pop-ups about Gen2 and Zeroaccess Trojans

Hello,

I am using Windows 7, Intel Celeron C900, 32-bit system, and I have Norton Internet Security.

Two days ago, I was hit by a virus which disabled a lot of functions on my laptop, it was called Live Security Platinum 3.6.1. It is one of those viruses that pretends it's scanning your computer and picks up multiple viruses, and then suggests you pay for a fake antivirus (fell for that one before years ago). I managed to successfully remove it, but NIS didn't work properly after that. I uninstalled and re-installed it and carried out a full system scan which found 13 threats and resolved them.

However, ever since then I have had frequent pop-ups from Norton, in the bottom right-hand corner of my screen, staing that 'Auto-protect has blocked Trojan Zero-access' or 'Auto-protect is processing threats' etc. These occur every few minutes. Please help. Is my laptop still infected?

Windows Defender and NIS both say that my laptop is clear of viruses...

Thank you.
