Auto-protection will not work

1 week ago I installed Windows 8. I noticed this morning that there is a security risk so I clicked on the "Fix Now" button, it ran through its process and it came up with "Not Fixed".

Another part of my search for a fix stated that the "product was Inactive". On the main window of 360 it states that it is active.

I have been into the settings and turned on the Auto-Protect etc, then clicked Apply. Still nothing happens.

Without the Auto-protect on my PC will be vulnerable!

Can anyone please help?

Hi Vindor,

Please restart your computer and see if that fixes the problem.

Thanks,

Sheen

On the Norton user interface click on support then click on Subscription status, that should tell you if the product is active or inactive.

Run the Live Update until it say Not required -> then restart and check.

Hi Sheen and ramshrii

I tried both of your suggestions yesterday with no luck.

This morning I used the Norton "Remove and Reinstall" download and it worked.

Thanks for the advice.

Problem solved.
