When I run live update alot of the time it says that I'm up to date and no updates are available...then when I look at the timer, it hasn't changed to indicate that I've just run live update manually...then...
I run Autofix and it says that it has fixed installation.
This has happened a couple of times over the last few weeks.
The following is the message that I copied from the autofix 'copy to clipboard' :
Norton 360 20.4.0.40 Windows 7 Home Premium 7601.18247.amd64fre.win7sp1_gdr.130828-1532 Norton Autofix Results: 1 item(s) Installation :: Success
I also have MBAM free...have run my Norton full system scan and MBAM full system scan and all shows clear.
I also have NPE installed but only used it a long time ago for previous issues.
I have been running N360 for a couple of years now. I had uninstalled all trial software that came with the computer before ever installing my N360. I have had a couple of issues in the past in which Norton Chat Support checked my computer over for me for other issues and I've had to run the uninstall/reinstall tool in the past too.
I've just noticed this new issue over the past couple of weeks...ran the autofix a couple of weeks ago and got the 'installation fixed' from autofix and the first time, I thought 'well good, wonder what that was all about', but since it's happened again I thought maybe I should ask someone here what they thought about it.
I should have followed the drop down links when I typed in 'Autofix' here in the forums shouldn't I have?
Thank you for your link and patience. I'll do my research better before I post next time to see if I can find a solution without posting unneccessarily.
I've not upgraded to the new version because I've been waiting to hear about issues with it. I suppose enough time has passed that it's probably time to do that.
I appreciate your quick response and help, Send of Jive.
Generally, if you wish to remove "solved" you can do it by clicking on "Options" in the top right corner of the post you marked as solved, and in the dropdown list click on "Not the solution".
What is your installed Norton 360 version number now, and what is the version number of Vulnerability Protection? Either way, I don't think this is a serious error. Unless you are noticing an issue with the product, you can probably ignore this.
I guess it must be no big deal. I AM getting my updates.
I have a disorder...sometimes I find myself trying to manually update many many times a day. sigh.
It ain't easy
I appreciate your response and rather than marking this one solved, I think I'll just give kudos all around and let it die a peaceful death all by itself lol
