I have been a Software Engineer for over thirty (30) years and have never had any system that over-rides manually set configuration. I have also never had a service provider company that does not want to interact with it's customers like Norton. Maybe this is how things work in India, but it is not the way things work in western countries.
A firewall that "ALLOWS" all traffic is worthless. Norton needs to be sued because it is not providing the services that are advertised. The core business is internet security - perfected that before going offering other services.
The mobile app is a joke as well - recently - it has allowed hackers to control my device. I have to put the device in airplane mode to stop the hackers. This is what happens when support is outsourced and the people are paid pennies. They sell access to hackers.
