Hi, I had nortons 2006 antivirus on my computer, I renewed in 2007 online it took 5 hours on dial up, this fall I tried to renew and it took 8.5 hours and the files were corrupt. Nortons gave me a refund for my purchase of the download and tech support told me to delete my old nortons and purchase a hard copy of the nortons 2009. I have done that and the nortons 2009 runs perfectly, so I will just purchase a hard copy of new Nortons every year rather than risk a download again.
my problem is that one week after I uninstalled nortons 2006 my 2007 subscription ran out and symantec automatically renewed the subscription and charged my credit card. Can I have the auto renewal feature cancelled, my credit card refunded and still keep my Nortons 2009 from being cancelled.
