Hey just installed NIS 2010. I first updated it and it was fine. But automatic updates cannot be scheduled. I mean a new database is release after about 4 hours. It should not be updating after 4 hours. Why do I have to run LiveUpdate manually.
I then learn about Pulse updates that checks for updates every few minutes. But when I last updated, its yesterday and its 9 hours ago. Neither does Norton tell me if there is an update available nor does it automatically update. Even when I run LiveUpdate, it say that updates are not required.
If it does not update for so long, Norton shoul not notify that the product is outdated. As in other security suites, the normal update time is 4 hours and there are automatic update options. In fact when installed NIS 2010 for the first time and the first update was not yet done, it said that LiveUpdate was run days ago but there was nothing suggesting for update and showin that databases were out of date.
In norton, is there the option to automatically scan an external drive as it is connected to the computer.
