Autoprotect can't be modified

I can't modify autoprotect in antivirus settings, ther's a * near the function and autoprotect is grayed and not clickable.
Ther's a message at the bottom of the windows "This settings can't be modified now as ther's a protection analysis waiting. Reboot to resolve the problem"
Having rebooted the computer many times without any changes, what can I do now?

After running  remove et reinstall, Autoprotect can be desactived.

FWIW ~ grayed settings issue/s have been around long time -
for example:

Restore Auto-Protect feature if it is grayed out after Norton repairs a threat

This problem occurs after Norton detects and repairs a threat on your computer. After the threat is removed, you are prompted to restart your computer to complete the repair. After the computer restarts, the Auto-Protect feature in Settings (Settings >Antivirus > Auto-Protect) appears grayed out.

To resolve this problem, restart your computer again. If the problem persists, run the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool.

Try running Norton Community Watch + machine Restart (not Shut down) again -
