AVG Found 6 Rootkits in Norton 360

I have Norton 360 as part of my Internet service from Qwest. I ran a rootkit scan in AVG the other day, and it found 6 rootkits in the Norton directory:

;"C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Norton\{0C55C096-0F1D-4F28-AAA2-85EF591126E7}\N360_4.0.0.127\Definitions\VirusDefs\20110217.019\NAVEX15.SYS";"Hidden driver";"Object is hidden"

Are these part of Norton? How do I remove them?

Thanks for any information you can give me.

AVG is also falsely identifying Norton's virus definitions as rootkits.  Antivirus programs do not like each other or work well together as Quads has stated.

Please, uninstall AVG. When you have two antivirus programs providing a Real_Time protection, they wil conflict with one another. Either Norton will find False + in AVG or vice versa. Decide what software you like the best, and uninsrall another.  Use CCleaner or ReVOUninstaller to remove AVG, so it will have a clean uninstall.  You might want to download MalwareBytes from malwarebytes.org, Free version. It doesn't provide Real-Time protection, but after updating , you can ocassionally scan you PC, this little baby might find soemthing that Nortn fails to find. ysually Norton, finds nasty stuff in an instant.

Add a "me too" to this one

Never try to run more than one real-time protection program on your system. They do not play well together and can cause REAL problems. Can you say reformat and start over? I'm partial to Norton but I won't fault you for going in a different direction. You'll be back :) As has been suggested other programs can give you an additional sense of security if you are in an environment that holds greater than normal risks. Going unsafe places can also cause problems that may take a day or two to surface. Be smart and don't go looking for problems, they will find you quickly enough :(
