Hi everyone,
We've released an update to customers who are running Norton 360 20.x that will silently update their systems to Norton 360 21.1. If you're already running version 21.1, you won't see any change; this affects customers running NIS, NAV or N360 version 20. This change won't be very noticeable within the product itself, but it will be more noticeable with the Norton Toolbar. Please see our Norton 360 21.1 announcement for details on those releases.
Windows 7 & Windows 8 customers: the update will be downloaded and installed in the background during idle time. It won't interfere with anything you're working on.
Windows XP and Windows Vista customers: the update will be downloaded and installed in the background, but the changes won't take effect until you perform a reboot of your system. It won't force you to reboot like previous updates.
For customers concerned about their Local Vault: this update will not change your vault settings or automatically convert you to an Online Vault. Your Local Vault will remain intact, and you will still be able to use it.
Note: This update will only occur if the Automatic Download of New Version option is Enabled (Launch main product -> Settings -> Computer -> Updates -> Enable Automatic Download of New Version). If this option is set to OFF, the update will not be downloaded.
This update release is an effort to provide our customers with the latest protection. We hope this will help our customers get the most out of their Norton products, and provide them the most up-to-date security for their systems.
