Hi pgikkas.
Welcome to the Norton Community Forums.
How many backup sets do you have/use and how large does "Preview" think they should be?
What apart from the Norton Backup is on your external drive?
How many folders are there in the N360_BACKUP folder on your external drive.
Hopefully with the answer to those questions I may be able to help you.
I look forward to getting your reply.
You may delete old backup files from two sections in your Norton 360. These two locations are:-
- Where Tab
- Summary Tab
To delete previously backed up files from the Summary tab
In the Norton 360 main window, click Backup, and then click Manage Backup Sets.
On the Summary tab, in the Backup set name drop-down list, select the backup set that you want to delete.
Under Things you can do, click Delete backup set.
In the Delete Backup Set window, select one of the following:
Delete backup set
Lets you remove the backup set.
Delete backup set and files
Lets you remove the backup set and the files that are available in the backup set.
Click Yes to confirm.
In the Norton 360 main window, click Backup, and then click Manage Backup Sets.
On the Where tab, click Delete Backed up Files.
In the window that appears, in the drop-down list, select the backup set from which you want to delete the previously backed up files.
This window appears when you have more than one backup set.
Click OK.
In the window that appears, in the left pane, select the file category that contains the files.
You can also select the Folders category to select the folders that you want to delete.
Check the files that you want to delete.
To view the files that you selected, on the left pane, click Selected Files.
Click Delete Selected.
In the confirmation dialog box, click Yes.
Click Close.
